Hi all,
Is there a way to open multiple Word documents simultaneously?

Well, I sort of know a way.

Open Windows Explorer and select any 2 or 3 or .... (ever how many you want) files. Press <Enter>, or right-click on one of the selected files and select <Open> in the menu.

Voila!

... short of using VBA, that is ...

In Word, click on either File--Open or the Open Folder shortcut and select the first file you want to open, press and hold the Shift key if the files you want to open are consecutive and continue selecting files or the Ctrl key if they aren't next to each other, then click on the Open button.

Thanks to both of you,

I had figured out the way David suggested, and found it to be almost as cumbersome as opening each file individually.

I often create a folder where I store several files related to a project I'm working on. It is sometimes helpful to be able to open all (or several) of them at once.

Mary's suggestion saves a few clicks.

Thanks again!

Hmmmm... My way *should* have been the same way Mary suggested, but I probably stated it poorly.

Glad you're cookin' with the files though.
