We talked at some length at today's meeting about Word's various Autocorrect functions, many of which can be very irritating, but I just stumbled across this feature in Smart Computing that I didn't hear discussed.
...
If you notice an auto correction item (perhaps like the auto date entry that we discussed at the meeting, or maybe the auto-capitalize on a new-line) but if you dont want it, and you notice...as it happens, you can just click Edit->Undo Autocorrect. (or hit ctrl-Z) The Edit->Undo Autocorrect is new to me, and with a little practice it may make some of the autocorrect feature much less irritating. It is much more likely that I will have the smart-alecky features turned on, if it is easy to avoid when it is wrong.

This is why I dont mind the questions. When researching other folks problems, I learn things. If we had not talked about the autocorrect features today, I probably would not have noticed the Smart Computing article.
