Just in time for Christmas, up for auction is a personal computer purchased by and used sparingly at the Southside Seniors' Center. ICON contributed the funds for the purchase of this computer in July, 2004, and the Center gave the computer to ICON approximately 6 months ago. Since the Seniors' Center no longer requires the use of the computer, ICON's officers have agreed to place the machine for sale to the highest bidder.

Auction Rules:
  • Bids must be made here on ICON's forum; you must be logged in to place a bid.
  • Auction will last from the time of this post until its close at the ICON membership meeting, December 16, 2006, The Library Center Auditorium. Final bids may be made at the membership meeting.
  • Auction winner may pay for and take the machine home on December 16.

Hello all,

Because of concerns that some folks might be confused by the auction rules as stated in the original post in this thread, I am posting this clarification:

  • Bids may be made here on ICON's forum (you must be logged in to place a bid) until 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Final bids will be taken at the membership meeting on that day.
  • Auction will last from the time of this post until its close during the ICON membership meeting, December 16, 2006, at The Library Center Auditorium.
If you cannot attend the December meeting, and wish to participate in the final bidding, there are two options for doing so:

  • You may arrange for someone else to place your bid(s) by proxy
  • You may arrange to be in telephone contact with someone at the meeting to place your bid(s)
Auction winner will be expected to pay for machine at close of bidding, and take the machine when they leave the meeting on December 16,

or if absentee:

Arrangements must be made for payment and pickup/delivery in an expedient manner.

ICON apologizes for any confusion or inconvenience.
