SOLD
$55.00 NOW $45.00
No waiting for rebates - No delivery fees - Still available if you hurry ...
Make an offer?? If you have a 240-pin slot and can handle DDR2 ram [Download the free "PCWizard 2008" from Here and check out your system specs]) you can probably use this ram.

2x1GB (2 GBs total) Corsair Value Select DDR2 800 MHz 1.8-volt RAM (can be overclocked). 240-Pin, Dual channel (reads and writes simultaneously).

The RAM is perfect and will pass all memory tests.

This RAM came in a new Velocity Micro desktop machine so is of the highest quality.

This RAM is backward compatible with 667 MHz RAM also.

Reason for selling: Just bought additional RAM and couldn't use with the new RAM.

Hi David,

I'm still using XP pro, so I don't know, but I have heard that Vista will not recognize more than 3 gb of RAM.

Is this true or is my source incorrect?

Before I upgraded to SP-1, Vista saw 3.582 GB of RAM. After the upgrade my Vista machine sees all 4GBs.

As I understand it, no 32-bit OS (x86 versions) will see more than 4GBs. The 64-bit versions can see as much as 128GBs.

Until SP-1 is installed Vista will display 3 - 3.582GBs, but will (itself) see the 4GBs. I am not certain that it would use all 4GBs if SP-1 was not installed though.

An interesting tidbit I just saw: Linux can address 32GBs of Ram using a 32-bit cpu. Linux can generally address 3.5 GBs of RAM per application running (or so "they" say). I only read that a few minutes ago so you can't hold me to it.....

Will call you this evening from home (I'm at work at the moment). Thanks

In the mean time, go get the PC Wizard 2008 (FREE) software and run it. It will tell you what kind of ram you currently have and should see what kind of memory slots you have.

L8r ...
