Just saw on C-SPAN, (probably most genealogists already know) The govt. web-page still needs a fair amount of work, it is a bit slow, and does not work smoothly with my browser, but I was able to download the ~200 pages I wanted to checkout.
Several of the page links did not work on either Firefox or Chrome while I was poking around. But I was able to download the images of pages. I was trying to find my parents, and I just grabbed the whole town where they would have lived. Should be easier to find with the census images on my computer rather than through the web browser. Then I found that the penmanship of the census-takers was worse than most engineers.
I will have to go back to it when I am in a patient mood.
