Who can you trust? Well, in some situations, you cannot trust Google. Google is not going to visit every advertiser to confirm that they are good guys. This means that some bad guys are going to have ads on on your Google search results.

As a side effect of this business truth, TNO (Trust No One) your friends and neighbors are more important than any other source as far as getting valid, useful advice, and help, at least on any subject where there might be a buck to be made by deceiving you. Consider mentioning ICON to your friends who might be tempted by "Scareware".

For example: FTC Disconnects Tech Support Telemarketing Scams

Quote: According to court documents, PC Care247 and Connexxions also paid Google over $1 million in sponsored advertising fees to make their advertisements appear when consumers searched for technical support services, including "virus removal" and "how to get rid of a computer virus," as well as for searches involving well-known security products, such as "Avast phone number," "McAfee Customer Support," and "Norton Support."
